Dementia Friendly Week: An Afternoon with Dr. Peter Whitehouse and Danny George
Peter Whitehouse MD-PhD, a 35-year resident in the Heights, is a geriatric neurologist, intergenerational educator, environmental ethicist, and innovative designer. His early clinical and research career focused on “Alzheimer’s” and other conditions that impair our thinking abilities. Of late he has been focusing on public and environmental health and innovations to enhance collective wisdom. He will discuss his new book, American Dementia: Brain Health in an Unhealthy Society. The authors call for a radical shift in our thinking and priority setting concerning age associated cognitive challenges.
