Dementia Friendly Week: Why Is It So Hard to Ask for and Accept Help?
Lauri Scharf, LSW, MSHS, Care Consultant/Master Trainer, Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging will speak on the importance of getting help. Family members become caregivers naturally through shared relationships. That does not mean that one person needs to be responsible for the every task that comes their way. Building a care team of family, friends and community partners helps to distribute the work load.
