Synagogue to Sanctuary: The Jewish/African American Connection in Cleveland’s Historic Religious Architecture In-Person
Across Cleveland many historic sacred structures were constructed as synagogues by Jewish congregations that are now home to Black churches of various Christian faiths. Each of these places has made history whether for their significant architectural contribution or role in the Civil Rights movement. Learn about the deep cultural heritage contained within these special places of worship and the work being done today to preserve them and share their remarkable stories.
