Heights Art Lecture: The Not-So-Dark Ages in Europe

The Not-So-Dark Ages in Europe -- For a long time, historians essentially skipped from the Fall of Rome in 410 to the "revival of civilization" in the Renaissance. But what actually happened during those 800 years? From modern Turkey to Spain, and North Africa to Ireland, we'll look at the Middle Ages as a time of learning, creation, and beauty in the midst of instability.

Dr. Emma Clute is an art historian. She received her PhD from the Ohio State University. Since 2022, she has presented a monthly lecture for the Heights Library hosted on Zoom. Each lecture is roughly 45 minutes to an hour. You may view the past lectures on the Heights Library's youtube page: https://tinyurl.com/cluteart
