Heights Art Lecture Series with Dr. Emma Clute In-Person

Why Still Lifes Aren't Boring

Paintings of objects and plants gathered together, still lifes can be pretty and decorative, gloomy and ominous, or just plain weird, but still lifes are rarely what they seem. See what messages artists have hidden for us to find in their paintings.

Dr. Emma Clute is an art historian. She received her PhD from the Ohio State University. Since 2022, she has presented a monthly lecture for the Heights Library hosted on Zoom. Each lecture is roughly 45 minutes to an hour. You may view the past lectures on the Heights Library's youtube page: https://tinyurl.com/cluteart
