How to buy a car In-Person

You can save money and reduce stress if you have a better understanding of the process of buying a car. This session will cover such topics as: learning how to figure (and get) a fair price, common tactics used by car dealers and how to respond to them, deciding what to buy, when to buy, whether to buy or lease, whether to buy new or used, how to handle a trade-in, and where to find more information. We will also discuss the pros and cons of hybrids and battery electric vehicles.

Since the 1980s, Howard has helped hundreds of people better understand the car buying process, by offering this class in the greater Cleveland area and in Washington D.C. and surrounding counties. He was a regular guest on a D.C. radio show giving advice on car buying. Howard is the Legal Educator-in-Residence at Cleveland State University College of Law, and previously was a professor at several law schools. He is not affiliated with the automotive industry or any car dealership.
