History of Yoga: Ancient Roots In-Person
While yoga is ubiquitous as a global phenomenon, its origins date back to ancient religious traditions on the Indian subcontinent. This lecture identifies these historical articulations of yoga in order to identify continuities and discontinuities with our modern-day understandings of this phenomenon.
Sucharita Adluri is Professor of Religious Studies at Cleveland State University and teaches courses on Asian religions in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies.
