Art Lecture: Uncanny Decay: Giacometti's "La Jambe" In-Person

This talk takes an in-depth look at a bronze sculpture produced by Swiss-born artist Alberto Giacometti in 1947 Paris. Representing a tall, thin leg--upright, but disconnected from a body--"La Jambe" marks the threshold between life and death. Giacometti drew from his Surrealist past and war-ravaged surroundings to memorialize both World War Two and the human experience.

Join Emma Clute as she presents a new topic from the history of Art.
