The Community Center for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing & Heights Libraries Presents the Film: "The Silent Natural" In-Person

Celebrate the start of Deaf Awareness Week as CHSC's Community Center for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in partnership with Heights Libraries present the film, "The Silent Natural."

This inspirational story tells of the trials and tribulations of Dummy Hoy, the first deaf Major League Baseball star. Learn where the hand signals in baseball came from, and the history of one of the greatest players of his time. Dummy Hoy didn’t just break records, he made them. Records that still stand in baseball today. Please enjoy this moving, funny, and powerful award-winning film about a great American hero.

This film showing is FREE to the public.
