Local History: Ambler Heights In-Person
"Ambler Heights History including the Bicknell Olmsted Gardens and Harcourt Manor" presented by Korbi Roberts, Bill Hopkins, and Angelina M. Bair
Join us for the fascinating early history of the Ambler Heights area at the top of Cedar Hill with its Doan Brook ravine stone quarries, Ambler family scandal, and the horse-drawn all-wooden railway (Cleveland's first railroad). Learn how Ambler Heights evolved into Cleveland Heights' second planned neighborhood, as we feature two incredible mansions - Warren Bicknell mansion (with its Olmsted designed gardens), and the Gill-Herget House (Harcourt Manor).
