Heights Art Lecture: Import/Export: Trade within China and East Asia

Although the overland Silk Road ended in China, international trade continued within East Asia between local merchants and Western agents. Many products were even made specifically for foreign buyers. How did the East-West trade influence Chinese, Japanese, and Korean art? And what kind of work did they send west with merchants?

Dr. Emma Clute is an art historian. She received her PhD from the Ohio State University.
